How can I reach people in my community without appearing pushy and religious? —Linda - Russellville, Alabama
I have a one word answer to this question: relationship. Quoting a phrase from a John C. Maxwell book, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” The easiest way to reach people for the Lord is to simply love and care for people as Jesus did. He never pushed God on anybody. His influence came through the life He lived and the relationships He formed with other people. Word of mouth spread to people and they flocked to Him because of the love they saw in Him. It is no different today. Build solid, caring relationships with people and your witness will come from your heart, a heart full of the love of God.
